The Sunshine Pumpkin Farm

The Sunshine Pumpkin Farm is located in Gerhardsbrunn, a short 20 minute drive from Ramstein Air Base. Every year Familie Guhl opens up their pumpkin patch to families in the KMC area! Their fantastic pumpkin patch is so much fun; it's the perfect place to pick your pumpkins and get ready for Halloween. I've been going here the last two years, picking out my own pumpkins, and enjoying Familie Guhl's farm treats.

At the farm you'll find seasonal delicacies, pumpkin soup, cakes, hot apple cider, flavored wines and more. This farm is also home to a raw milk “vending machine” and if you've never had raw milk, this is the perfect place to give it a try. The Sunshine Pumpkin Farm also offers family hayrides, which start at the pumpkin patch and take you up to the farm. I look forward to coming to this pumpkin patch all year—you see, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I pretty much love pumpkin everything! Plus why get your pumpkins from the boring old commissary when you could turn pumpkin pickin' into a fun-filled family affair or a romantic evening hanging out with your sweetheart! Heck, I'd even come here alone if I had to, plus I like the idea of helping a local, family-run farm. This Pumpkin Patch would also be the perfect place for you to take some seasonal family photos as the view from the farm has always been pretty breathtaking! Lastly, the pumpkin patch is pet friendly, so there's no need to leave your pup at home! Well, I hope to see you there! I'll be the lady dragging my unenthused husband through the fields in search of the perfect pumpkin or two—or 10—with my two dogs in tow...and I may, or may not, put my pug in a pumpkin costume...we’ll see.
